At Colegio Menor Quito, your child will discover their responsibility in society through meaningful interactions with others. They’re always guided by our “Character Counts” framework, which teaches universal values for our everyday practices and empowers our students to be ethical decision-makers.
We’ve defined and created service programs within our curriculum for all ages, as students connect what they’re learning in the classroom to a community in need. Our Student Government leads many of these programs, as the student voice of our school.
From Elementary School onward, our students help senior citizens of Cumbayá; help paint schools and build houses; fundraise for important causes; prepare food baskets for the less fortunate; create projects to improve the environment; and collect donations of needed items.
Our students think about how their efforts will contribute to a larger global vision of protecting and improving our planet. To do this, they align their activities and projects with the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals by applying the SDGs to local actions.
Additionally, we expand our students’ global awareness by working with UNICEF to introduce them to some of the world’s most pressing issues. During our World’s Largest Lesson, our Student Summit, and our Global Challenges, we encourage our students to develop solutions to some of these issues.
Our Middle and High School students debate big topics in impressive national and international Model United Nations conferences. These experiences help them gain experience showcasing viable solutions while also practicing their skills in public speaking and critical thinking.
Our social purpose is motivated by the fact that our education at Colegio Menor Quito has the power to change the world. With many exceptional learning opportunities around them, our students use their great start as the foundation to make a difference.
