Welcome!
It was seven years ago, although it seems like only yesterday, that I was the Head of School at Colegio Menor Quito. One of the key decision making factors to return for the 20-21 academic year was the role that the school played in my thinking about education and the positive experiences my family and I had as members of the Menor Community. Now, Ilan will be starting High School to complete the first stage of his learning journey at Menor and Sofia is at university applying the life skills, creativity and problem solving she learned from the Liberal Arts experience at Menor. My children are a few of the many students and alumni who learn about themselves and the world around them at our school in preparation to be successful, productive community members.
The essence of Menor, the exposure to a breadth of academic and extra curricular experiences in the arts, math, science, athletics and languages, are timeless qualities of an academic program committed to excellence and one that produces high levels of student engagement. Students are provided an intellectual space to think about the world around them and are empowered to define an independent path for personal fulfillment. Menor’s vibrant student activities foster competencies in creativity, innovation, communication and collaboration.
Student success is accomplished through personalized instruction designed by fully committed and well prepared educators. Our faculty members create learning activities to help each student achieve academic objectives by observing and understanding personal interests and leveraging talents. A holistic educational approach recognizes balance; this is why Colegio Menor presents a strong academic program, complemented by excellent fine art and enrichment experiences. Our numerous service and leadership opportunities prepare Colegio Menor Students to be active and productive and contributing global citizens.
As of last school year, our students and faculty were able to take advantage of our participation in the Nord Anglia Education family of schools to explore unique learning opportunities. Students and teachers develop valuable relationships with friends and colleagues across the globe and collaborate, compete and play together to enhance learning.
