THE COLEGIO MENOR SAMBORONDÓN MIDDLE SCHOOL CURRICULUM

At our Middle School in Samborondón, Guayaquil, 6th to 8th Grade students enjoy a broad and balanced liberal arts education. Our individualized approach carefully considers the unique developmental characteristics of each student, ensuring we create an environment – and offer opportunities – that enable every individual to flourish.

OUR MIDDLE SCHOOL CURRICULUM

At Colegio Menor Samborondón, Middle School learners enjoy a comprehensive liberal arts curriculum. Students take classes in English and Spanish Language Arts, Art, Music, Theater, Science, Mathematics, Physical Education, STEAM, and Social Studies (both in English and Spanish). They also enjoy a wide variety of electives.

We set the highest standards for our Middle School curriculum. We hold Cognia accreditation and monitor our learners’ progress through standardized testing. Using MAP (Language, Reading, Math, Science, and Spanish) and BADYG (Skills), we fully personalize assessment to each student.

LEARNING SUPPORT AND COUNSELING

We provide the very best social and emotional support to students at Colegio Menor Samborondón Middle School. Our counselors organize small group discussions on self-understanding, self-control, sexuality, and self-esteem. They also cover topics like healthy and functional relationships, substance abuse, and stress management. Our counselors organize annual one-day retreats for each of our Middle School grades, too.

We also offer learning support to students with additional needs. Through diagnostic evaluations and individualized education plans, our Learning Support specialists ensure every child is learning in a way that works for them.
